The thesis is devoted to the prospective study of the prevalence and peculiarities of lipid spectrum in 168 patients with different clinical and morphological forms of chronic glomerulonephritis. Lipid abnormalities were depended on sex, age, smoking, proteinuria and arterial blood pressure levels and renal function. The efficacy and potential risk of ciprofibrate and simvastatin administration in patients with chronic glomerulonephritis was estimated. This study illustrates the high hypolipidemic effect of simvastatin and ciprofibrate in chronic glomerulonephritis patients with hypercholesterinaemia and hypertriglyceridaemia respectively
