Essay

The parametric interaction of MSW with localized non-stationary pumping was investigated theoretically. For the first time the problem of interaction of counter-propagating waves with adiabatic rectangular pumping was solved. The system of generalized reduced equations that describe non-adiabatic interaction was derived. The decrease of instability threshold caused by non-adiabatic interaction was predicted. The effective method of envelope soliton amplification (amplification with compression) was proposed. The main features of nonlinear stage of interaction were determined and explained.
