Essay

Dissertation has been devoted to the experimental investigation of the scattered signal parameters for multi-frequency remote sensing of the soil and vegetation characteristics. The experimental study has been carried out by remote sensing technique for wide band frequency with the laboratory aboard the plane IL-18. To provide the processing the data obtained with side-looking radar for 3 cm, 23 cm, and 180 cm and with the scanning radiometer for 8mm wavelength have been used. The field observation data also have been taken into account. The advantages of the multi-frequency remote sensing compared with one frequency method have been presented in dissertation for soil and vegetation pa-rameters estimation. The results of the application of space information obtained with SLR aboard the satellite "SICH-1" for estimation of the agrobiological and weather situa-tion in autumn-winter season have been presented in the manuscript.
