Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to monographic study of one of the early traditional musical culture components - tunes correlated with harvest-time. The dominating direction is melogeography - documentary mapping of the material, made on the ground of systematic field research of the territory. General theoretical results were also received about typology of musical rhythmic of traditional tunes.The documentary mapping of the big ethnographic region - Prypiat' Polissia - one of the most archaic zones of Slavic world is used in Ukraine for the first time. Thus the programme of the suc-cessive meloareal investigation of the region has been started.
