Essay

A unique method for determining the load and current values of fatigue crack tip opening displacement was developed that was first to enable direct measuring the current values of opening displacement without the interpolation of the measurement results for the fatigue crack tip. From the results of direct measuring the fatigue crack tip opening displacement under conditions of positive load ratios, and low temperatures, fatigue crack growth kinetics was reliably described.
