Essay

Study results clarified the role of platelet haemostasis and plasmin-dependent fibrinolysis in pathogenesis of different presentations of unstable angina and in dynamics of antithrombotic treatment regiments. The hypothesis of association of high platelet thrombogenesity and deep depression of plasminogen system with high risk of unfavorable outcome have been confirmed. Study data shown that combined ticlopidine and aspirin treatment was accompanied by platelet dysfunction and impairment of fibrinolysis. Comparison of dynamic changes of platelets and plasminogen system under three heparin regiments was consistent with platelet potentiation and time dependent changes of lytic plasma activity under standard heparin administration while enoxaparine treatment leaded to minimal depression of platelet functions and augmentation of fibrinolytic plasma potential.
