The thesis is dedicated to problems of analysis in experiment on different age rats of brain amygdala morphological features after chronic intoxication by tobacco smoke. Histology, electron microscopy and morphometrical methods with realization of the comparative factor analysis were used. For the first time it is established that the chronic intoxication by tobacco smoke of rat brain amygdala results in dystrophic changes of neurones and macroglia. It was established that the changes of neurones on model of passive smoking were non-specific that testified their compensatory character. The most expressed morphological changes took place in old rats, most minor - for preadolescent animals. It is established, that vitamin E reduces dystrophic changes caused in nervous cells of brain amygdala by chronic intoxication by tobacco smoke. The main outcomes of the present research are used in educational process of 5 medical higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
