Nidal N. Radiculomyelopathy, caused by degenerative cervical spine stenosis

This dissertation focuses on the problem of improving the diagnosis and the surgical treatment of radiculomyelopathy caused by degenerative cervical spine stenosis .In depends on the clinical manifestations and methods (X-ray, CT, MRT), three kinds of degenerative cervical spine stenosis was determined: central, foraminal and multiple stenosis.The algorithms of surgical treatment of the patients with radiculomyelopathy caused by degenerative cervical spine stenosis are developed.The decompressive surgery followed by fusion is conducted at all 85 patients. The advantages and disadvantages of various kinds of operations and fusion are established.We determine that, anterior decompression of spinal cord followed by titanium cage fusion is an effective method for the treatment of radiculomyelopathy caused o by degenerative cervical spine stenosis.The prognostic factors of outcome of disease are determined,. The correct choice of a method of a decompression of the spine and fusion is very important. Early a nd the adequately conducted operations allow to receive positive outcomes.
