Essay

The dissertation is introduced into the problems of increasing of the treatment effectiveness of periodontal diseases in pre- and postmenopause periods.The structural-functional state of periodontal tissues and bone mineral density peculiarities in pre- and postmenopausal period has been determined. The clinical peculiarities of the periodontal disease course in pre- and postmenopausal periods have been denned. The differential approach to the complex treatment of periodontal diseases, depending on the menstruation function and postmenopausal period duration, has been introduced.The schemes of osteotropic therapy in periodontal diseases complex treat-ment, which includes calcium and hormone replacement therapy in pre- and early postmenopausal periods and in late postmenopausal period - calcium drugs and active metabolites of D vitamin, have been developed.
