Essay

Contact phenomena of thermomechanical interaction of bodies having local surface defects. To investigate contact behaviour of elastic bodies possessing axially symmetric unevenness of boundaries with allowance for compressible thermal conductive fluid within the interface gaps. To develop methods of solution to axially symmetric contact problems for bodies having conformable surfaces. The technique is based on theory of Hankel's integral transform and theory of dual integral equations. The models of imperfect contact of bodies having local surface defects are developed. The intercontact functions method is spread to axially symmetric case. New contact effects are revealed, in particular, i) concentration of contact stresses in the vicinity of the surface geometric irregularities, ii) local separation of mated bodies due to concentrated mechanical and thermal factors, iii) heat flux direction effect. Areas of application: power industry, machine building industry.
