Essay

The thesis is devoted to studying of the peculiarities of conservative treatment method of mandibular fractures. It has been demonstrated that the dynamics of oral cavity changes are dependent from the metal of dental splint and are not dependent from kind of ligature wire, which is used. High negative electrogalvanic potentials of aluminium dental splints and inequality of their distribution in oral cavity cause the appearance of electric currents, characterized by appropriate clinical symptomatology and lower the local and total nonspecific resistance of patient's organism with mandibular fractures. Electrogalvanic changes lead to the development of posttraumatic inflammatory complications and promote of the appearance on mucous coat of trivial form of leukoplakia and erosive-ulcerous injury. We have established that the best method of reposition and fixation of mandibular fragments at mandibular fractures is the application of splints making from unrusting steel.
