Essay

The dissertation is devoted to diagnosis and treatment of gastric and duodenal erosions. There was performed the analysis of clinical, endoscopic, morphologic and functional manifestations of gastroduodenal erosive lesions. Erosive gastroduodenitis was shown to be characterised by variable manifestations and complex of functional and morphologic changes of gastroduodenal zone which depended preferably on localisation and on form of erosions. The high rate of Helicobacter pylori infection was also revealed in patients with gastroduodenal erosions. There were shown the peculiarities of morphologic and functional state of gastroduodenal zone in Helicobacter pylori-positive patients. There were ground the main approaches to the differential therapy of patients with gastric and duodenal erosions taking into consideration the presence of Helicobacter pylori.
