Essay

The thesis is dedicated to investigating the nature and finding out the mechanisms of a colloid-chemical interaction in the system: coal dispersions - surface-active materials (SAM) solutions in the processes of producing and processing natural coal and utilising its wastes. In the thesis the colloid-chemical characteristics of polyvinyl alcohol are studied and the mechanism of its interaction with the surface of coals being at different stages of metamorphism is proposed. Using SAM as flotoreagent and regulator of foams in the foam method of dust-depressing is theoretically grounded.
