The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical, methodological and practical questions of raising the level of the possibility of evaluation of economic efficiency of functioning of the branch and enterprises of telecommunication in conditions of the market - competitive economics. In the paper the further development of theoretical statements concerning the methodology and methods of evaluation of the economic efficiency of the telecommunication enterprises has been given. The new definition of the economic efficiency has been suggested.
