Essay

In the result of the following investigations 24 species of beetles (Silphidae), wich belong to 9 genera, are discovered. Experimental data on peculiarities of beetles (Silphidae), their daily and seasonal activity, fertility of females, periods of laying the eggs, development of preimaginal stages are investigated. Unknown earlier preimaginal stages of such species as Nicrophorus sepultor, Nicrophorus antennatus, Thanatophilus terminatus are described. Summer diapause of the beetles Thanatophilus terminatus are determind in laboratory conditions for the first time.
