Essay

The object is perturbed weakly guiding optical fiber; the aim is to study theoretically the flow of the angular momentum of electromagnetic field in such fibers; the methods are the constructing of the Hamiltonian of the spin-orbit coupling and continuity equations with right hand side for the angular and spin momentum, quantum-mechanical perturbation theory; novelty - there was studied the conversion of the spin and orbital angular momentum of optical vortices and LP, CP modes in round, elliptic and bent fibers, there was proved the stability of the angular momentum with respect to perturbations; the result is the developing of the theory of the angular momentum of electromagnetic field in perturbed weakly guiding optical fiber; the field is optical engineering, communication systems.
