Essay

The dissertation is the first complex historical research in native science about the East - Slavonic myths of the other world. The paper deals with the structure of the Eastern Slavs heathen posthumous notions and its transformation under the influence of the Christian traditions during the XI - XII centuries. Eastern Slavs heathen ceremonials, cosmological believes, which are connected with the other world of heaven and the context and the ideological semantics of the notions about the underground world of the dead are analyzed in complex.
