Pashchenco N. Determination of speed of the Russian trotter by a complex of morphometrical measurements

Subject of research: the horses by Russian and Oryol trotter of breeds, which pass tests on the Kiev hippodrome. Objective: Study determination of speed of the horses by Russian trotter of breed by a complex morphometrical of measurements, taking into account some discrete variable (age, floor, genealogical of line) and development multifactor of model for an estimation of speed. Methods of research: zootecnicaly (serviceability, measurements, indexes of a constitution), statistical, analytical (review of the literature, generalization of results) methods of researches. Results: The dissertation is devoted to questions of the forecast of the trotter horses speed with the aid the complex of morphometrical measurements and discrete variable quantities. Using the methods of the multifactor regression analysis, models for the forecast of speed of the Russian trotter of different age are developed. The high level of determination of the trotter speed by the age of 4 years and more complexes mentioned measurement is established. The models (linear and nonlinear) for a rating of weight of the horses without weighing are offered. The questions of sexual dimorphism and distinctions between breeds of the trotter horses (Orlov and Russian trotter), age repeatability of measurements and speed are considered.
