Essay

The dissertation is the ever first endeavor in contemporary religious science to make a complex religious science and jurisprudence analysis of the contents and implementation of the principle of the freedom of conscience and religion in Ukraine in the context of contemporary international legal standards. Authoress considers origins of notions of the freedom of conscience and religion, their evolution and proves that the freedom of conscience is the intrinsic deliberation of the right to take religion according to your own convictions, taking into account legal requirements of a society as a whole and the right to chose your religion. The dissertation researches on the principleof the freedom of conscience and religion in Western and post-Socialist countries by comparative analysis of its contents, which gave possibility to reveal general tendencies and particularities of its implementation in certain countries.
