Bychkivs'ka Y. Disturbances of local immunity and their correction by enterosorbent sillard-P in diphtheria in children

The dissertation is dedicated to the study of the influence of local defence mechanisms disturbances on the formation of various levels of the infections process in diphtheria in children and the possibility of their correction by the use of enterosorbents in the complex treatment. The dependence of the gravity level of the clinical form of diphtheria on cytoprotective state of the mucous membrane of infection atrium area, which is due to the local action of immunoglobulins, phagocytic system of neutrophils and colonization resistance of the mucous membrane, was proved for the first time. The clinical, biochemi-cal, immunological and bacteriological investigations of 128 children in ages from 3 to 14 years old with clinically manifested forms of diphtheria and 43 carriers of toxicogenic C.d. strain had been performed during the scientific study. It was proved that simultaneous local and enteral use of enterosorbent sillard-P in the complex treatment of children with clinically manifested forms of diphtheria and in sanitation of carriers of toxicogenic C.d. strains was efficient.
