Essay

The thesis is devoted to designing of the transitional railway curves and designing of the rational rectifying of the polyradius geometrical regular curves in a plan. The subject of inquiry is the process of designing the railway curves. The objective of inquiry is a development of designing the railway curves in a plan to improve the operation a wheel-rail system on a transitional curve, and diminish the capital expenditures for renovation and maintenance of railway track. The methods of inquiry are the normals of railway curves theory, differential geometry theory, optimization method, approximation of functions method, and cluster analysis. The new outcomes under the theory of designing railway curves are obtained. The software to process the rational rectifying of the any complexity polyradius railway curves in a plan is developed. For the first time have been obtained the analytical expressions of the rational railway transitional curves; determined the approximated differential equation of displacements; proposed the mode of definition of the polyradius railway curve structure; applied the precise integration of the differential equation of displacements to calculate a rational rectifying of the railway curves. The thesis outcomes are utilized at the services of the railway track as well as at a factory. Using the thesis outcomes will increase the train driving speed, and diminish the capital expenditures for renovation and maintenance of railway track. The area of using is the railway transport.
