Essay

The course of diphtheria and character of its complications in the vaccinated adults considering the vaccination ratio, post-vaccination time to disease, antigenic loading of the vaccine and initial level of antitoxic immunity were investigated. The effeciency of vaccination of the adults in the conditions of modern epidemic of diphtheria was analyzed. The prevalence of the vaccinated among the surveyed with diphtheria, absence of any difference in the course of disease and complications in the vaccinated and non-vaccinated were estadlished, that is a consequence of low interrelation between ratio, terms of vaccination, level of antitoxic immunity and testifies to inadequately justified tactics of vaccination of adults during the epidemic.
