Object of study: WWER-1000 fuel and rod control cluster assemblies. Aim of the study: to provide nuclear fuel burnup extension, life-time operation extension. Methods and equipment: modern methods and instruments. Theoretical and practical results, newness: assemblies operability under extended burnup is validated. Corrective measures were developed and implemented to assure decrease of fuel assembly bow degree in the reactor. Hafnium properties after mechanical treatment, its behaviour under irradiation, its. efficiency in the real WWER-1000 operational conditions were researched. Degree of practical application: results are used in the process of WWER-1000 FAs and RCCAs design and operation. Sphere of application: atomic engineering.
