Essay

In the dissertation a complex theoretical analysis of museum studies development in Jordan, are stipulated by a number of factors. The dissertation is based on an interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving, meaning complex usage of general scientific and special methods, devices and methods of study approved by the historic science, memorial studies, art science, museum studies and culture studies. Main attention in scientific development of the topic is focused on historically chronological and typological systematization of cultural resources and museum institutions of Jordanian museum network. For the first time there is given an integral scientific notion of different Jordanian memorials as original cultural and historical heritage. For the first time there is made a critical analysis and scientific assessment of the country using museum network, its sociocultural efficiency. There are specified the level of displaying the cultural and historical originality of the country using museum means atthis stage. There are specified ways and means of modernizing the museum activity and tourism in Jordan in compliance with global sociocultural trends and demands of the Jordanian society. Materials of the dissertation were used while preparing the course "History of Museum Activity" and special course "Museum in Polytechnic and Polycultural Space" for students of museum department of Kharkiv State Academy of Culture. Materials and conclusion of the study can be used for developing the scientific concept of Jordanian museum network development, plans of high-priority museofication of cultural and historical objects of new museums of forming the national museum tourist system, learning of new tourist forms and routes, implementation of large-scale sociocultural projects.
