Essay

This dissertation is devoted to inverse problem investigations, which appears at the diffuse scattering of coherent electromagnetic radiation by randomly heterogeneous media. Theoretical analysis of corresponding ill-posed problems was provided, and a quantitative estimation of statistical characteristics of scatterer heterogeneity from speckle-structure statistics was obtained. The optical schemes of devices with optimal conditions of speckle observation were worked out for the purpose of correct estimations of diffuser parameters. Based on the investigation of polarisation measurements of the scattered field under non-uniform diffuser illumination, the effective measurement procedure of diffuser statistical parameters was proposed. The principle of a non-uniformly polarised light beam forming was used for multise-quencing of polarised information channels in the devices with CD- and DVD double reading .
