Essay

The object is brazing process and brazed joints of silicon nitride ceramic. The aim is to discovered the influencing factors and to obtained the high-strength joints. The methods are wetting by sessile drop method, bending strength testing, Weibulls statistical analysis, electron-probe microanalysis. The novelty is: the Cu-Ga-Ti filler for brazing of Si3N4 has been used; the influence of Ga on the transition layers forming has been found; the nature of filler thickness strengthening effect has been analysed; the annealing influense on strength data has been established. The results are: high-strength silicon nitride ceramic brazed joints has been obtained; the technology of conductors brazing to the heater based on Si3N4 has been developed and used by SPE "Gradient". The field is mashine-building and electrotechnical.
