Essay

General method of synthesis carbocyanine dyes with hydrocarbon bridge groups in chromophore was elaborated. Chemical properties and the influence of bridge on the spectral properties of dyes depending on the character of the final hetero-residues and simmetry molecules were studied. Tiacarbocyanine dyes with hydrocarbon bridge groups in chromophore may be used as spectral sensitizers of silver halide emulsions and as fluorescent markers for biomolecules.
