Essay

It is carried out a new, precise approach to calculation of spectra of the multi-electron heavy ions with account of the correlation, nuclear, radiative effects on basis of gauge invariant quantum electrodynamical perturbation theory. New schemes for calculation of self-energy contribution and polarization part of Lamb schift are developed. Relativistic calculations of spectra of nlj (n=2-4) states of the Li-like ions with nuclear charge 20-100 with account of the correlation, nuclear and QED effects are carried out. Wavelengths of transitions nl-n'l' (n,n'=4,5;l,l'=0-3) in spectra of Cu-,Zn-like ions of Th,U,Pb,U are calculated. New relativistic schemes for calculation of negative ions, diatomic and quasi-molecules are carried out and calculations of the energy patameters for a number of atomic systems are fulfilled. A significant part of data is at first obtained.
