Kostyrko E. Spiranes containing isoquinoline moiety based on cycloalkylated o-bromometylphenyl acetonitriles.

The convenient method for preparation of hitherto unknown 1-[2-(bromomethyl)phenil]cyclopentane-1-carbonitrile and 4-[2-(bromomethyl)phenil]tetrahydropyrane-4-carbonitrile was proposed. It includes cycloalkylation of the o-methylphenylacetonitrile by 1,4-dibromobutane or 2,2'-dichlorodiethyl ether respectively with further bromination of the intermediate products obtained. The compounds thus prepared are the potential synthones for synthesis of the spirocyclic isoquinolines.The compounds were studied by IR-, 1H NMR-13C NMR-, mass spectroscopy. The crystal structures of the 1 new compound have been determined by X-Ray single crystal analysis.During present research the facile routs to the 14 novel complex condensed heterocyclic systems were elaborated.
