The dissertation is devoted to the literary phenomena of Don Juan. The author analyses functional paradigms and the most important artistic inple-mentations of the image of the Middle Age seducer. It is examined the main transformational and adaptational models which are used in the process of in-cluding of this traditional material in different temporal, national context or creative activity of concrete author.
