Essay

Dissertation represents the results of clinical neurological and complex neurophysiological examination of motor system in 75 Chernobyl accident consequences cleaning-up participants (liquidators) - all men in age from 25 till 56 years, irradiated in doses from 0,05 to 4 Sv, as well as 20 healthy men, 25 men - armed conflicts veterans with mild traumatic brain injury consequences (posttraumatic encephalopathy), 20 men with dyscirculatory encephalopathy I-II on the background of arterial hypertension and cerebral atherosclerosis. It was established that motor system pathology in liquidators in the remote period after irradiation in doses over 0,3 Sv clinically manifested by vestibular-cerebellar disturbances, mild pyramidal and extrapyramidal signs in the frame of progressive structural-functional brain damage - encephalopathy. Reflex-motor disturbances in liquidators are motivated by characteristic structural-functional faults of suprasegmental part of motor system, that are realized through the infringement of physiological suprasegmental influences and disturbances of the excitability of the peripheral motor neurons. Fault of sensory information perception and processing as well as peripheral autonomic disturbances are play an important role in pathogenesis of movement disorders. Distinctive neurophysiological characteristics of motor system disturbances in liquidators were revealed. Modifying influence of radiation on spinal reflexes age dynamic and acceleration of aging processes in nervous system of liquidators were determined. The contribution of dose and irradiation duration to changes of functional state of suprasegmental part of motor system was defined.
