Kompanets T. Virus diseases of the gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii Bolus ex Hook) and biotechnological methods of obtaining of its virus-free planting material.

In work were represented the results of research of the industrial plantations of gerbera on viruscarring. Manifold symptoms of a lesion of gerbera were studied. Correlation between visual symptoms and presence of viral antigens in the diseased plants are explored. Was revealed undocumented earlier on gerbera virus. The reaction of plants -indicators, serologycal features and morphology virions were researched, and also the molecular mass of single structural protein of this virus is spotted. The conditions of introduction gerbera in culture in vitro - time sampling initial explants and the conditions of its sterilization picked experimentally. The composition of nutrient mediums for cultivation of gerbera in vitro are modified, that has allowed to speed up process of clonal micropropagation. On basis of designed technology of obtaining the virus-free gerberas plants of the sorts "Rouletta" and "Cigan" has been carried out.
