Essay

Possibility of using of spectrometric research techniques based on measurement of chlorophyll concentration for diagnostics of plant virus infection is demonstrated. There has been demonstrated that viral infection and shortage of nitrogen in the medium affect assimilation of CO2 by leaves, decreasing therefore intensity of netto-photosynthesis and increasing mesophyll opposition. It was shown that for evaluation of condition of systemically virus-infected plants, I2/I1 may be used for plant virus diagnostics.
