Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the problem of fibrous high-temperature composites formation. Application expediency of economically alloyed nickel-base alloys and layer niobium-titanium matrices strengthened with tungsten-rhenium fibres for rocket engine parts production has been studied. For the first time it has been determined that while temperature cycling for several hours usage of less compatible to tungsten-rhenium fibers and higher temperature strength alloy ЭК64 is more appropriate than that of thermodynamically more compatible to the mentioned fibres and lower high-temperature strength alloy ВЖ98. For the first time it has been shown that the most probable reason for tungsten-rhenium fibres unstrengthening in layer niobium-titanium base while temperature acting is diffusion of carbon from fibres to titanium interlayer causing by the ability of the latter to be an effective carbide-former. Measures eliminating this phenomenon have been developed. Process regimes in composites production used at plants for making radiation cool nozzles have been established.
