Kaminskyy V. Clinical Substantiation of Using Osteogenic Ceramics in Complex Treatment of Patients with Mandible Posttraumatic Defects

The thesis is devoted to an investigation of peculiarities of using osteogenic ceramics in complex treatment of patients with mandible posttraumatic defects. 90 patients were examined and treated for fractures of the mandible at the Department of maxillofacial surgery. All patients were distributed into 4 clinical groups of inspection depending on applied technique of treatment. Supervision over a course of inflammatory reaction to a postoperative trauma (tooth removal from a line of fracture) and regenerative processes was carried out by means of clinical, biochemical (blood, urine) and additional (X-ray examination, rheovasography, contact thermometry, ultrasonic echoosteometry etc.) methods of investigation. Positive dynamics of clinical changes and the given additional methods of investigation testify to the advantages of the use of domestic osteogenic bioceramics ("Кеrgap") in a pure state and in mixed with Lincomycine or silver ions for filling in posttraumatic mandibular defects appearing afterteeth removal from a fissure of a fracture in patients of different age at different terms of their taking specialized medical care.
