Essay

The dissertation is dedicate to the investigation of the peculiarites of the crystal structure, of the lattice dynamic, and non-linear optical properties of layered CdI2 single crystals, both undoped and doped with 3d-metals iodides. Using dispersion dependences, the sound velosity for high-simmetry direction in BZ were calculated and the quantitative estimate of anisotropy level of elastic constants was performed. The effect of doping with CuI and NiI2, ordering of admixture centers in magnetic field on non-linear optical properties of CdI2 crystals was stadied. The calculations of the electron spectrum, of the non-linear optical susceptibilities were perfomed.
