Essay

Object of study - sandstones of the Donetsk-Makiyivka and Krasnoarmiysk regions of Donbass and South-West region of the Lviv-Volyn basin. Goal - to establish the low-governed nature of katagenetic transformations of coal-bearing sandstones for the areas of different geological structure. Methods - structural-textural analysis, complex of petrographic methods, chemical and X-ray analysеs. Novelty - katagenetic transformations of coal-bearing sandstones depend on their genetic type and geological structure of the area, the intensity of katagenetic transformations influences their porosity. Practical value - determination of the zones capable of accumulation of associated gas methane and dangerous of gas blowouts while coalbed development.
