Tkach A. Basis of original operative approach during the surgical and combined treatment of locally spread lung cancer

Вasеd the new original sternotomy-thoracotomy approach during the treatment of lung cancer. We have eveluated the results of treatment of 119 patients with lung cancer. We have based ground the expedience of inculcation of extensive comdined resections and adjuvant radiation therapy during the treatment of locally spread lung cancer. The advantages of sternotomy-thoracotomy approach during the extensive comdined resections with both side lymphodissection of mediastinum have been esteblished. We have made new apparatus for the sternal bone connection. The new and reliable method of sternal bone connection are elaborated. It is estimated, that the sternotomy is not a contraindication to irradiation of animals in the middle-fractionation regimen. Results - improvement of combined treatment results in patients with locally spread lung cancer.
