Essay

Object - the magnetic ordering in artificial multilayer nanostructures; goal - experimental study of the spin configurations and magnetic properties of metallic multilayered films; method - magnetooptic Kerr effect and SQUID-magnetometry; results and novelty - for the first time the experimental phase H-T diagram of Fe/Si, Gd/Si/Co multilayers is constructed and was established the possibility of the metastable phase existance in the first of them, it was established the influence of the nonmagnetic spacer on the exchange interaction between Gd and Co layers, for the Gd/Fe films new type non-uniform noncollinear state in a surface gadolinium layer has been revealed and described, it was first established, that the coercive field of the multilayered films of RE/TM type increases at approaching to compensation point; employment - investigation of fundamental physical properties, new magnetic materials
