Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of creating a versatile injector complex for the accelerator LUE-2000 to produce beams of positrons, polarized and nonpolarized electrons for their application in high-energy physics and radiation technologies. Investigations were made into the technological processes of positron beam generation, formation and acceleration; new ways in generation of polarized electron beams having currents of few hundreds of milliamper per pulse. Studies were also made into the methods of forming atomic hydrogen beams with microwave dissociation for the polarized electrons gun, and also the methods of generating hydrogen SHF-plasma for synthesis of polycrystalline diamond coatings on semiconductor materials. Radiation processes of amorphous-crystalline transformations in the bulk single-crystal silicon matrix were investigated for the purpose of forming interface structures in Si- photoconverters of solar radiation into electric energy.
