Essay

133 species of encyrtids wasps from 66 genera have been found in the Ukrainian Carpathians. 104 spacies are new for region, 58 are firstly recorded for the Ukranian fauna, 6 - were described as a new for science. 2 new extinct genera from the Late Eocene Rovno amber were described. Comparison of morphology of extinct and recent genera shown that family Encyrtidae in Late Eocene was definitely separated from the other chalcidoids and its morphological specialization corresponds with those of recent encirtids. Zoogeographical analysis of the encirtids fauna in the Ukrainian Carpathians is provided.
