The thesis is dedicated to the development of the kinetic model of the grafting polymerization initiated from solid surface which takes into account the formation of fixed to the surface radicals, diffusion of the free radicals into volume and additional initiation in volume. This model has been applied to estimate at the quantitative level the kinetic characteristics of the grafting process and to select appropriate experimental conditions for controlled synthesis of polymer brushes.
