Hodovana O. Peculiarities of the clinical course, complex treatment and prevention of periodontal diseases in workers of glass-ceramics industry

Object - individuals with periodontal diseases employed in glass-ceramics industry; purpose - to determine their periodontal status, clinico-functional, microbiological, immunological, and pathomorphologic peculiarities of the course of periodontal diseases in workers of glass-ceramics industry. Elaboration and approbation of effective schemes of complex therapy and prevention of periodontal inflammatory diseases; methods - clinical, microbiological, immunological, histological, statistic, ultrasonic echo-osteometry, spectral analysis; novelty - for the first time in workers of glass-ceramics industry, character of microflora in periodontal pockets, status of immunocompetent system were investigated; chemical composition of dental calculus and bone of alveolar processes of the jaws determined; pathomorphologic changes in gingival retraced, functional study of periodontium bone tissue; results - schemes of therapy and prevention of periodontal diseases have been improved; they have been introduced intothe process of training at dentistry chairs and into the therapeutic process in dentistry polyclinics; field - dentistry
