Smolinskyy S. Elaboration of a design and research of spiral-separator of potato's heap

The object of research is process and means of separation of potato lots. The purpose of research is increase of quality indicators of process of separation of potato lots by development of a design and optimization of parameters and operating modes of a separator. At theoretical researches applied bases of higher mathematics, theoretical and analytical mechanics, resistance of materials. Experimental researches have been lead according to accepted techniques and branch standards in laboratory and field conditions on the developed experimental installation with application of planning of multifactorial experiment and processing of results with the help of applied programs on a computer. As a result of research it is developed a new design of a separator of potato lots and mathematical models of movement on a surface of a separator and process of separation. Also theoretical and experimental dependences of influence of constructive and kinematic parameters of a separator on quality indicators of work are received. Rational values of design data and operating modes of a spiral separator are determined. The developed design allows to reduce losses of a potato up to 1,8 %, damage of a potato on 46,7 % and width is shaky a potato on 20,8-28 %. Results of research are transferred in design office of open joint-stock company "Boreks" for introduction to manufacture. Results of research can be applicable in design office, research and educational institutions.
