Essay

The object are the patients with destroyed coronal part of teeth and existing roots; the aims are to improve the technique for restoring the lost coronal part of teeth; the methods are the original three-dimensional computerized model of tooth, scanning electron microscopy, radiography, clinical, mathematical; the new approach lies in the development of three-dimensional virtual model of the system that includes dentin, luting cement and post as well as the study of system's behavior under experimental chewing loading, the role of luting cement as the weakest part have been determined and this was proved by SEM; the results include the development of original titanium posts and cutting instruments that significantly decrease the influence of chewing loading upon the luting cement; introduced in the clinical bases and study process at the appropriate departments of dental faculties at high schools; the field is stomatology.
