The dissertation deals with the theoretical and practical aspects of foreign economic activity of small business of transitional countries. The main reasons, factors and specific features of small firms' international activity are revealed. It is argued that government support small and medium-sized enterprises-participants of foreign economic activity is an important factor of their international competitiveness. The basic instruments of domestic and foreign regulation of SMEs' foreign economic activity are revealed.
