Ganzenko O. Improvement of the technological process and technical means for soil cultivation before planting mother roots of sugar beet

This thesis represents the solution of the questions of reducing energy consumption and ensuring higher quality of fulfilment of the technological process of planting sugar beet mother roots. The results of theoretical and experimental investigations of the work process of a border disk are given; its rational constructive parameters are founded. The use of border disks on a mother root planting machine guarantees a higher quality of soil cultivation in the zone of a future row, which allows to exclude a deep preplanting cultivation. Comparative field experiments with mother root planting machines equipped with border disks and serial scarifiers were carried out. Economic efficiency was calculated.
