Essay

The object is cellular and humoral immunity in children and teen-agers with type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM-1); the aim is to evaluate the state of cellular and humoral immunity in children and teen-agers with newly diagnosed CD-1 in the dynamics of insulin treatment; the methods are clinical, immunogenetic, cytological; flow cytometer, electron microscope, ultratome; the news - the special subtype of DM-1 with low content of natural killer-cells (CD56+cells) in blood of these patients was revealed; results - indices of cellular and humoral immunity are determined in the same patients with DM-1 in the dynamics of 2 year observation. It was established that insulin treatment din not normalize the disorders of immune status in patients with DM-1; the approach - results can be used in choosing the groups with DM-1 risk with the aim of preclinical diagnosis; the field is endocrinology, pediatry.
