Essay

The object of the study was the reproductive system of the offspring of rats of both sexes born to mothers of different reproductive ages with chronic fetoplacental insufficiency induced by carbon tetrachloride. The aim of the study was to determine hormonally dependent mechanisms of reproductive disorders in the ontogenesis of offspring of rats of both sexes born to mothers of different ages with fetoplacental insufficiency, and experimentally substantiated the potential preventive effect of the original pharmaceutical composition on the phenotype of such animals. The work used: physiological, preparative, cytological, histological, pharmacological, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, biochemical and statistical research methods. The work is devoted to the study of the influence of maternal placental insufficiency of mothers in the third trimester of pregnancy on postnatal development, histostructure and functioning of the reproductive system of offspring of both sexes in adulthood. A separate series of studies consisted of the study of the prophylactic effect on the state of the fetoplacental complex and the long-term effects of the corrective effect of the new pharmaceutical composition on the reproductive function of the offspring. A causal relationship between fetoplacental insufficiency of mothers of different reproductive ages and the development of reproductive disorders in their offspring of both sexes in ontogenesis has been established. The presence of changes in the somato-sexual development of female and male offspring has been experimentally proven. New data on the mechanism of imprinting action of fetoplacental insufficiency of mothers in the critical period of ontogenesis for the program of development of sexual function, which may serve to reduce the programmable peak of testosterone in newborn rats. The peculiarities of the influence of maternal placental insufficiency of mothers during pregnancy on the pubertogenesis of the offspring of both sexes, which further leads to reproductive disorders in adulthood, have been determined. Original results are obtained, indicating different effects of fetoplacental insufficiency on the reproductive system of offspring in ontogenesis depending on the reproductive age of the mother at the time of pregnancy. The possibility of pharmacological prevention of fetoplacental insufficiency by correction of functional and metabolic disorders of the placenta and associated reproductive diseases in adult offspring with a new pharmaceutical composition is substantiated. The obtained results and conclusions substantiate the expediency of implementing broad measures for social and medical protection of pregnant women, starting from the earliest stages of childbearing. Scope: endocrinology, obstetrics, pediatrics, sexopathology.
