Essay

It is found that the electron beam irradiation leads to the creation of ordered structure with the hexagonal symmetry on the surface of pyrasoline organic dye film. The two types of surface structures: ring-like and ellipse-like pits are formed in the surface of such films after the laser beam irradiation. It is shown that modification processes of the surface structure of Co- or Fe- based amorphous alloy ribbons and the microrelief formation of their non-contact surface after the same treatments are essentially differed due to magnetostriction effect which is intrinsic in Fe- based amorphous alloy and responsible for the induced optical anisotropy in the surface layer. Thermal annealing of amorphous alloy ribbons at temperatures which do not exceed the crystallization temperature leads to a decrease of deformational stresses at surface and to monotonous increase of the roughness parameters on the non- contact surface of the ribbon. It is found that the rise of magnetoresistive effect in amorphous andnanocrystalline Co- based alloys is determined not only by density of electron states at the Fermi level but also their Anderson- like localization degree influenced electronic transfer processes.
